"The Cold-Blooded News" goes paperless

For several years, the Society published a monthly newsletter which was printed and mailed to each member. Following a cost analysis and an examination of what we stand for as a group, it was determined that we should make our web site the sole source for news, information, and communication. Although we can't estimate the exact "savings" by doing away with the printed letter, the following points have been noted:

  • Paper use is eliminated.
  • Ink use is eliminated.
  • Cost of postage is eliminated.
  • Burn of gasoline by personal vehicles between home, printer, and post office is eliminated.
  • Burn of gasoline by postal delivery vehicles is reduced proportional to the weight of the newsletters.
  • Eventual landfill waste is eliminated.

In addition to saving resources, our members will now save money; the cost of membership has been reduced by an average of 20%. Please see the Payments section of the site for the new prices.
